And You Need a Master’s Degree For That?

During last night’s daily call to my mom Leah asked her how her day was.

“It was okay.” My mom answered.

“Just okay?” Leah asked.

“Well, you know how you are so excited to learn how to read?”

“Yeah!!”

“My students all already know how to read, but I gave them a story to read for homework, and guess what? None of them read it!”

“Oh, Mana!” Leah answered in a “why didn’t you think of this silly rabbit” tone, “You have to break the story up into two parts for them. Then they can read the first part one night, and the second part the next night. Then they will do their homework.”

Huh, who knew? Maybe Mana could also assign her student’s a more exciting author, you know, like Dr. Suess!

  1. Your mom should definitely take Leah’s advice. I probably would have done more work in her class if she had broken it up into smaller pieces. Maybe Leah should go in one day and teach your Mom’s class for her. 🙂
